To apply for a visa you need to pay money in cash whereas personal checks and credit cards are not accepted. The money orders have to be regulated from the Embassy of Switzerland or the Consulate General of Switzerland. The visa requirements in Switzerland include:

3. One recent passport size photograph
4. Money is accepted in cash or postal order
